Perlane® (hyaluronic acid)


Hyaluronic Acid

How Supplied:

Supplied in a 1 mL disposable glass syringe with a Luer-lok fitting; a γ-irradiated sterilized needle, 27 g x ½ inch, is co-packed with each syringe

Indications and Usage:

Implanted into the deep dermis to superficial subcutis for the correction of moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles (e.g., nasolabial folds).

Shelf Life:

Up to 1 year after production date. Store at room temperature


Up to 8 months

Side Effects and Contraindications:

Contraindicated for patients with severe allergies manifested by a history of anaphylaxis or history or presence of multiple severe allergies; contains trace amounts of Gram-positive bacterial proteins, and is contraindicated for patients with a history of allergies to such material; contraindicated for patients with bleeding disorders and for implantation in anatomical spaces other than the dermis or superficial layer of the subcutis. Reported adverse events include temporary bruising, swelling, redness, pain, tenderness, and itching. Presumptive bacterial infections, inflammatory adverse events, allergic adverse events, and necrosis have also been reported.
