Indications and Usage:

Clobex Shampoo 0.05% is indicated for moderate to severe scalp psoriasis in 18 years old and older.

Side Effects and Contraindications:

Side effects may include burning/stinging, skin dryness, irritation, erythema, telangiectasia and skin atrophy. In clinical trials, these side effects were typically mild in nature and transient. Clobex Shampoo is not recommended for use on anyone younger than 18 years of age. Clobex (clobetasol propionate, 0.05%) should not be used on the face, groin, or axillae, and the total dosage should not exceed 50g (50 mL or 1.75 fl oz of Shampoo) per week. Patients should use Shampoo, 0.05% only for the minimum period necessary to achieve desired results, and treatment beyond 2 weeks for psoriasis should be weighed against the potential risk for HPA axis.
