Side Effects and Contraindications:
Side effects may include burning, dryness, and other reactions at the application site. No localized adverse events were reported in patients with scalp psoriasis. The pooled incidence of local adverse reactions in trials for moderate to severe atopic dermatitis and mild to moderate plaque-type psoriasis with Olux Foam was 1.9% for application site atrophy and 1.6% for application site reaction. Treatment with Olux Foam and Olux-E Foam beyond 2 consecutive weeks is not recommended and the total dosage should not exceed 50 g per week because of the potential for the drug to suppress the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis.
