Luxiq foam is a medium potency corticosteroid indicated for the treatment of the inflammatory and pruritic symptoms associated with corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses of the scalp.

Side Effects and Contraindications:
The most common side effect is local application site burning. Other known side effects of steroids include irritation, xerosis, folliculitis, acneiform eruptions, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, secondary infection, skin atrophy, striae, and miliaria. Systemic absorption of corticosteroids has been reported to induce reversible hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis suppression, manifestations of Cushing’s syndrome and diabetes mellitus in patients.
