Indications and Usage:
Loprox Gel is indicated for the topical treatment of interdigital tinea pedis and tinea corporis due to Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, or Epidermophyton floccosum and for the topical treatment of seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp.
Side Effects and Contraindications:
Loprox Gel is contraindicated in individuals who have shown hypersensitivity to any of its components. The most common adverse reactions are a skin burning sensation upon application, contact dermatitis and pruritus. If a reaction suggesting sensitivity or chemical irritation should occur, treatment should be discontinued and appropriate therapy instituted. Loprox Gel is not for ophthalmic, oral or intravaginal use. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. The efficacy and safety in pediatric patients below the age of 16 years have not been established.
