Indications and Usage:
Cipro XR is indictated only for the treatment of urinary tract infections, including acute uncomplicated pyelonephyritis, caused by susceptible strains of the designated microorganisms such as Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Enterococcus faecalis, Straphylococcus saprophyticus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Side Effects and Contraindications:
Ciprofloxacin is contraindicated in persons with a history of hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin, any member of the quinolone class of antimicrobial agents, or any of the product components. Concomitant administration with tizanidine is contraindicated. Side effects may include nausea, diarrhea, liver function tests abnormal, vomiting, and rash.
