Indications and Usage:

The Obagi-C Rx System is a complete skin care program that proactively corrects the early signs of sun damage and helps to restore healthy, youthful looking skin. The system reduces hyperpigmentation, evens skin tone, promotes cellular turn over and protects against free radicals. The gradual bleaching of skin conditions such as chloasma, melasma, freckles, senile lentignes, and other unwanted areas of melanin hyperpigmentation.

Side Effects and Contraindications:

Hydroquinone is a skin bleaching agent, which may produce unwanted cosmetic effects if not used as directed. Test for skin sensitivity by applying a small amount to unbroken skin and check in 24 hours. Minor redness is not a contradiction, but where there is itching or vesicle formation or excessive inflammatory response, further treatment is not advised. Sunscreen is an essential aspect when using a hydroquinone therapy and must be applied daily before having sun exposure. The Obagi-C Rx night cream contains metabisulfate, a sulfite that may cause serious allergic type reactions (e.g., hives, itching, wheezing and astyhma attacks) in certain susceptible persons.
