How Supplied:

Multiple products contain 4% hydroquinone

Indications and Usage:

The gradual bleaching of hyperpigmented skin conditions such as chloasma, melasma, freckles, senile lentigines, and other unwanted areas of melanin hyperpigmentation.

Side Effects and Contraindications:

Hydroquinone is a skin bleaching agent, which may produce unwanted cosmetic effects if not used as directed. Test for skin sensitivity by applying a small amount to unbroken skin and check in 24 hours. Minor redness is not a contradiction, but where there is itching or vesicle formation or excessive inflammatory response, further treatment is not advised. Sunscreen is an essential aspect when using a hydroquinone therapy and must be applied daily before having sun exposure. The Obagi-C Rx night cream contains metabisulfate, a sulfite that may cause serious allergic type reactions (e.g., hives, itching, wheezing and astyhma attacks) in certain susceptible persons.
