How Supplied:

Lidocaine 3% and tetracaine 0.5% patches, 10 per box

Indications and Usage:

Synera is indicated for intact skin to provide anesthesia for superficial venous access and superficial dermatologic procedures such as excisions, electrodesiccation, and shave biopsies.

Side Effects and Contraindications:

Side effects may include erythema, blanching, edema, application site reactions, rash, pruritus, dizziness, headache, pain, nausea, contact dermatitis, infection, skin discoloration, somnolence, blistering, paresthesias, urticaria, vesiculobullous rash, vomiting, allergic or anaphylactoid reactions, angioedema, bronchospasm, shock, and systemic reactions (CNS excitation and depression, bradycardia, hypotension, cardiovascular collapse).
